6 STEPS TO RECOVERY AT PHOENIX HOUSE OF NEW BERN
1) ASSESSMENT The individual (and family members where appropriate) complete an individual assessment and evaluation to determine the need for treatment and the most appropriate level of care.
2) ADMISSION Once it is agreed that the client will participate in treatment at Phoenix House of New Bern, an intake is completed and the client, senior mentor and program staff agree on the type of treatment. See Program Rules
3) TREATMENT PLANNING Together, the client, mentor and program staff develop a treatment plan including primary problems to be addressed, and the client’s goals and how those goals will be achieved.
4) TREATMENT A variety of services are delivered, including individual & group counseling, relapse prevention, drug/alcohol education, and numerous other specialty services. The amount and length of services is dependent on the individual client’s needs.
5) CONTINUUM OF CARE Clients receive services along a continuum of care, tapering their participation as they begin to understand their problems with drug/alcohol use, and take responsibility for their recovery.
6) RECOVERY MONITORING Clients complete treatment and engage in a recovery plan that may include support groups, and mentoring services.
